11 Ligue 1 players have scored a goal during the World Cup for first time in history

According to Stats foot eleven Ligue 1 players have scored at the World Cup so far, as we enter the final round of 16 fixtures. This includes Paris Saint-Germain’s France star Kylian Mbappé who leads the tournament with five goals as well as  Argentina’s Lionel Messi hitting the back of the net on three occasions. Monaco’s Breel Embolo has two goals for Switzerland, whilst Neymar, Lovro Majer, and Timothy Weah have all scored one. 

The Premier League currently leads the way with 24 goals so far in the 2022 World Cup, almost double all the other leagues. In fact, Ligue 1 is the second best positioned with 18 goals
