Daniel Bryan is returning to WWE TV in the form of co-host of the Cruiserweight tournament, WWE announced Wednesday.
Bryan will be joined by lead announcer Mauro Ranallo for the 32-man tournament, which begins taping Thursday at Full Sail University in Florida.
Triple H noted in his most-recent media conference call that the idea was to create a sports-like tournament, look, and feel. Ranallo provides that as lead commentator with his MMA/combat sports background.
The sports-like feel is also highlighted by WWE also announcing a “Bracketology” special on Wednesday, July 6 previewing the 10-week tournament.
The first episode airs the following Wednesday, July 13, on WWE Network.
