WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita teamed up together at WWE’s Evolution pay-per-view this past Sunday night. The duo got a win over Alicia Fox and Mickie James before appearing on Raw and winning again the very next night. Apparently, the tag team match at Evolution was not just a one-off appearance for the legendary female wrestlers. On PWInsider’s Elite Audio show, Lita and Trish are expected to make more appearances and continue teaming up together of occasional matches for the foreseeable future. It was also noted during the show that WWE had been planning on having both Stratus and Lita compete in a tag team match at WrestleMania this April as well. Expect to see Trish and Lita on WWE programming much more often going forward.
Crown Jewel doesn’t take place until Friday, but that has not stopped WWE from announcing a number of matches for their next pay-per-view, November’s Survivor Series event. The company already confirmed that SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will face Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey during the show, but two more matches for the event were announced on SmackDown last night. United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura will take on Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins, and a traditional 5-on-5 elimination tag team match featuring women from Raw and SmackDown facing each other for brand supremacy. Although she has not accepted the opportunity yet, it appears that Charlotte Flair will serve as the captain for the SmackDown team.
It seems @MsCharlotteWWE has some reservations about captaining the #SDLive Women’s team at #SurvivorSeries… pic.twitter.com/pvSJ7BUlNq

The members of the NXT roster have been appearing on more and more independent wrestling programs lately. Earlier this week, The Street Profits were able to win the EVOLVE Tag Team Championships while Fabian Aichner was also crowned the new champion for EVOLVE. The trend continues as Marcel Barthel will be returning to Germany to compete on wXw’s 18th anniversary event on December 22nd. Barthel competed in the promotion as Axel Dieter Jr before joining WWE, but he will be back for one night only later on this year. Barthel’s opponent has not been confirmed as of yet. The wXw promotion is believed to be partnered with WWE, much like promotions such as EVOLVE, ICW and PROGRESS Wrestling.
