First Two Matches Set & Confirmed For Next Month’s SummerSlam PPV

Last Monday night on RAW, General Manager Kurt Angle announced the first two matches for next month’s SummerSlam PPV Event. First, WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will be defending his WWE Universal Title as his advocate Paul Heyman appeared on RAW and accepted Kurt Angle’s ultimatum that Lesnar must defend his title at the event. The challenger will be determined next week depending on the winner of the Roman Reigns vs. Bobby Lashley Matchup. There have been speculations that somehow the main event will turn into a Triple Threat Match between Lesnar, Reigns & Lashley.
Also set and confirmed for SummerSlam is RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss defending her RAW Women’s Title against Ronda Rousey. While still “suspended”, Rousey appeared on RAW last Monday night and attacked Bliss again, prompting General Manger Kurt Angle to extend her suspension for another week. However, despite that, he still booked the title match for SummerSlam.
