For the most part, Chris Jericho has taken a break from WWE and has been wrestling elsewhere this year. Jericho originally returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling for one match against Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom, but the former WWE Champion has since appeared in NJPW a few more times as part of a feud against Tetsuya Naito. Although Jericho is now the reigning IWGP Intercontinental Champion, the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio has revealed that Jericho will not be returning to Japan for a while. Not only will Jericho not be wrestling during NJPW’s upcoming shows in California, but it was also mentioned that the Intercontinental Championship will be “iced for a long long time.”
Controversial WWE doctor Chris Amann still remains employed by WWE despite some of the allegations that former WWE Superstar CM Punk made back in 2014. Amann has been accused of neglecting and mistreating the injuries of WWE Superstars, and it was revealed earlier this week that he was in a romantic relationship with an active WWE Superstar several years ago, which is typically a violation of a doctor’s code of ethics. Despite the claims that have been thrown his way, Amann will continue to work as a physician for the company. Amann has worked for WWE since 2008, and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that his current deal with the company expires in October of this year.

WWE 24 is a series that gives fans a true look behind the curtain during some of the biggest WWE events of the year.
