NDSU Wrestling Ready for ‘Battle for the Border Bell’ at SDSU

The North Dakota State wrestling team will travel to Brookings, S.D., on Saturday, Nov. 30, for a 4 p.m. dual with South Dakota State at Frost Arena. In an agreement between the two programs, Saturday’s dual will be the inaugural Battle for the Border Bell, with the winner claiming a traveling 100-pound kettlebell trophy.

The dual will not count towards the Western Wrestling Conference standings. The two teams are scheduled to meet in Fargo on Feb. 23 in a conference dual.

NDSU enters the weekend with a 1-2 dual record, having dropped meetings with No. 13 Missouri and No. 17 Northern Iowa before defeating Northern Illinois.

South Dakota State is 0-2 in duals this season, losing to Drexel 26-10 on Nov. 9 and dropping a 36-6 decision to No. 9 Nebraska on Nov. 24.
