In a new report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE superstar Goldust has come to the end of his current contract and is not expected to re-sign with the company. He is currently awaiting the 90-day non-compete clause to conclude before officially announcing his free agency. While there is no specific date listed, it is believed that he should be available for bookings by May.
Speculation is that Goldust, who has changed his Twitter handle back to his real name of Dustin Rhodes, will join up with AEW just in time for their May 25th inaugural event Double or Nothing, where he is rumored to face his brother, and co-founder of AEW, Cody Rhodes. The match has been teased several times on the popular Youtube show Being the Elite, and even on the latest episode of The Road to Double or Nothing.
UPDATE:
Following the reports that have gone out, Dustin Rhodes has taken to Twitter to deny allegations, claiming that he’s still under contract with WWE.
I am still under contract with the @wwe , and everything that is being said online is just talk, and complete bullshit. This is exactly why I hate smart marks!
