Spoiler: NXT Title Change At TV Tapings On Thursday Night

As noted, NXT held a set of television tapings at their home turf at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida on Thursday evening. During the taping, a title change took place.

The team of Trent Seven and Tyler Bate, collectively known as Moustache Mountain, captured the NXT Tag-Team Championships from The Undisputed Era (Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly) at the WWE U.K. Championship Tournament special in London, England earlier in the week. While the show hasn’t aired, and won’t until the two-day tournament special premieres on the WWE Network on June 25th and June 26th.

Before their title victory even airs, however, Moustache Mountain dropped back the titles to Strong and O’Reilly in the main event of last night’s NXT TV tapings at Full Sail.

The finish of the match saw Seven locked in a leg submission for a long period of time. Eventually Bate was forced to throw in the towel, giving the win to Strong and O’Reilly and losing the titles back to the former champions.

WWE released video footage of Moustache Mountain’s surprise NXT Tag-Team Title victory from the aforementioned U.K. Title Tournament Special, which again, premieres on the WWE Network on 6/25 and 6/26. You can check out the footage above. The title change that was taped last night at Full Sail will air at some point during a weekly broadcast of NXT TV on the WWE Network in July.
