Even the persistent rain all day, which made her sold-out show at Rooftop at Pier 17 on Tuesday night a soggy affair, turned into a moody scene-setter. Foggy, gloomy skies overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge made it feel more like the end of the world than the start of summer, as rain ponchos covered the goth gear — inspired by Eilish — that was worn by those who braved the weather.

The eeriness of it all only intensified the Björk-meets-Marilyn Manson creepiness of songs such as “You Should See Me in a Crown,” which Eilish performed as spiders flashed on a screen behind her, before those crawlers gave way to skeletons.

With minimal backing, Eilish — who will play another sold-out show at Radio City Music Hall on Wednesday night — presided over the spooky atmosphere like a goth-pop princess who is more of a weird outsider than a preening prom queen. Her comic-book-colorful outfit was baggy and unrevealing, built for cool comfort rather than sexy titillation.

When she sang “All the Good Girls Go to Hell,” she lured you into her own personal devil’s lair with her seductive vocals set against a backdrop of red lights.

Then she went all angelic as her older brother Finneas — who produced and cowrote “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” — joined her on a floating bed for “I Love You,” an ethereal beauty dedicated to a friend who passed away a year ago. As cell phones lit throughout the crowd cut through the fog, you could feel the love for Eilish all around.
