WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is criticizing Viceland’s Dark Side of the Ring special on Randy Savage. The documentary series looks at controversial pro wrestling stories and Savage was the focus of the first episode.
The Match Made in Heaven is all about Savage and Miss Elizabeth, both of whom are portrayed by actors in blurry segments during the show, which is the style of the series. Reenactments are used to tell the story and to help the audience connect to the people involved. But Hogan evidently wasn’t impressed.
Thanks for watching. We reached out to you to participate in this but you declined. We would've love to have your POV for this story. Hope we can get you on the next one.

The ironic part of his comments is that Viceland supposedly asked for his involvement on the episode and Hogan said no. It’s unknown when the request was made or why he chose to decline the offer to participate.
The Match Made in Heaven gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of Savage and Elizabeth, including their time in the business and of course, their real-life relationship. The lines between fiction and reality were blurred quite often for Randy, because his character’s jealousy over Elizabeth was often a very real-life problem for the couple.
Longtime WWE fans know that Hogan and Savage were two of the biggest icons in the pro wrestling industry during the 1980’s and and 1990’s. Their runs against each other in WWE and as The Megapowers, remain some of the most memorable moments in the company’s history.
