IN RING SEGMENT
BRAAAAAAUUUNNNN! Braun Strowman makes his way down to the ring accompanied by Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre. Dolph Ziggler says that they are looking at the greatest three man group in the history of the WWE. Drew says that they didn’t need tactical vests or anything catchy to prove it. Braun says that they proved it last week against the Shield. They show footage of them beating The Shield last week, and Dean Ambrose leaving Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns.
Drew says that last week, they didn’t just beat the Shield, they BROKE the Shield. He says that Roman & Seth were the only beneficiaries from their group, and now everyone’s eyes are open and the Shield has been shattered. Braun says that a Crown Jewel, he will slay the Beast and dismantle the Big Dog.
Speaking of Crown Jewel, Drew says that tonight he is going to beat Seth Rollins, and he is going to make it to the end of the World Cup and prove he’s the best in the world. Dolph says that he also has a qualifying match against Dean Ambrose and they might meet in the finals. Braun says that as good as they are, at Crown Jewel Brock Lesnar & Roman Reigns will GET THESE HANDS.
Out come the Shield….or at least two thirds of them. Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins make their way out to the ring. Seth says that tonight, he is going to prove to Drew McIntyre that Seth Rollins is the best in the world. Dolph asks them where their “brother” Dean Ambrose is, but he knows Seth & Roman don’t care because they’re egomaniacs. Seth says to not worry about Dean, because he runs on Ambrose time, and he will be there. But he tells Drew that since they’re both out there, how about they have their qualifying match right here, right now!
WORLD CUP QUALIFYING MATCH: DREW MCINTYRE vs. SETH ROLLINS
Drew starts by pushing Seth back into a corner and the referee separates the two. Collar and elbow tie up to get back at it, and Drew McIntyre gets a vice grip-like head lock on Seth Rollins, refusing to let go. Seth tries to fight out multiple times, but Drew has the hold in deep. Seth finally breaks out, but is clocked with a right hand by Drew.
Drew bounces off the ropes Seth leap frogs him, and then Drew goes for a right hand. Seth ducks and lands a dropkick, sending McIntyre out of the ring. Seth winds up, and goes for a suicide dive, but Drew stops Seth midair and turns it into an overhead belly to belly right onto the mats on the outside. Drew has evil intentions as he looks to throw Seth right into the apron, but Seth backs him up into the barricade.
Out of nowhere, Dolph Ziggler comes to distract Seth Rollins, while Drew rolls underneath the ring. Seth is distracted for only a second, but it’s long enough for Drew to drag Seth and have his shoulder collide hard into the steel underneath the ring. Both men get back in the ring and Seth surprises Drew with a superkick!
