Rusev Slams ‘Corporate’ Styles

While AJ Styles is on the short list of the best professional wrestlers on the planet today, and has proven to be one hell of an effective WWE Champion, one thing the “Phenomenal One” has received some criticism over are his promos, which are very obviously written for him and can come across very wooden and robotic on television at times.

Rusev, who steps into the ring with AJ this Sunday at WWE Extreme Rules, took a shot at one of his recent tweets, calling the reigning champ “so corporate it makes me gag”. Conversely, the “Bulgarian Brute” has been receiving rave reviews for his work on commentary this week on Smackdown Live. Although, if WWE is trying to get him over as the top heel on the blue brand, having him doing hilarious show-stealing segments like that are probably not going to do his opponents any favor… Check out the Twitter exchange below.
