Roman Reigns Issues Statement Denying Alleged Connection to Busted Steroid Ring

Earlier this week rumor began circulating of a major steroid ring bust in connection with WWE Superstar and current Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns.

Richard Rodriguez, former owner of Miami’s Iron Addicts Gym and Wellness Fitness Nutrition, had his facilities raided in early 2017 and was arrested along several others in connection with a massive steroid distribution ring. In a recent video by YouTube “filmmaker” Jon Bravo, he claims to interview Rodriguez in the interest of clearing his name and “revealing the truth” being the incident. During the conversation several high profile names were linked to the scandal including Roman Reigns, who was accused of being a former client.

The WWE star released a statement to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, completely denying these claims. “I have never heard of Richard Rodriguez or Wellness Fitness Nutrition,” Reigns said. “I learned from the mistake I made nearly two years ago and paid the penalty for it.”

Roman also claims that since his suspension for violating the WWE Wellness Policy he’s passed “11 tests as part of WWE’s independent drug testing program.”
