Nick Langworthy vows to “rebuild, retool and revitalize” New York’s sagging GOP party while making it his “mission” to defeat Cuomo, who has said he would run for a fourth term.

“The comeback starts now,” said Langworthy, after being unanimously elected chairman of the state Republican committee during an Albany meeting Monday..

Langworthy replaces Ed Cox, who had been party chair for the past decade.

The 38-year-old Erie County Republican also promised to “make sure” President Donald Trump “gets the supports he needs in his home state” during the 2020 election.

He warned that Democratic socialists like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Bronx/Queens) should be taken seriously because their progressive proposals are becoming law in New York.

“The silence of the so-called ‘tolerant’ Democrats refusing to stand [up] for what is right is deafening,” he said.

“And make no mistake, AOC’s Democratic stardom is no flash in the pan. She proved it just last week by throwing her support behind Tiffany Caban, the Democrats’ nominee for Queens district attorney.”

Langworthy takes over a GOP that hasn’t won an election for statewide office since George Pataki was re-elected to a third, four-year term as governor in 2002.
