Ligue 1 side Lille have this afternoon confirmed the loan departure of 22-year-old central midfielder Thiago Maia, who returns to Brazil in an initial 18-month loan to Flamengo.

Maia, who joined Les Dogues in July 2017 from Santos, played 61 Ligue 1 matches in 2.5 seasons.

The option to buy is believed to be at around the €8m to €9m mark.
