Stade Brestois have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with DFCO Dijon over the signing of Johan Gastien.

Gastien, who was out of contract in the summer, signs a two and a half year with the Ligue 2 leaders for an undisclosed fee.

Brest, who are currently leaders of Ligue 2 following their relegation from Ligue 1 last season, will be hoping that the signing of the 28-year-old central midfielder will give them the push they need to secure promotion.

The midfielder has made 15 appearances in Ligue 1 for Dijon this season, but failed to score in any of his games in all competitions. His 130 appearances in Ligue 2 will give Brest a very experienced player who will be vital to their promotion push.
