PSG Director of Football Patrick Kluivert is close to concluding a deal with River Plate for the signing of striker Lucas Alario, according to our colleagues at Culture PSG.

However, it is understood that not everyone at the Ligue 1 champions is convinced about whether or not this signing would prove to be a success, with manager Unai Emery in particular questioning whether or not a move for Alario would be prudent.

The 24 year old striker has an €18m release clause, but the situation from a Paris point of view is blocked for the moment, despite the fact that Alario is interested in making the move.
