Youngsters from Uttar Pradesh, who have been taken into a police custody for stone pelting, revealed during investigation that they were taken to Pulwama district in Kashmir for employment at a stitching factory by a contractor.
They claimed that they were made to throw stones at security forces.
Director General of Police OP Singh said on Thursday, six men from Baghpat and Saharanpur districts have complained that they were told to take part in stone-throwing, reported PTI.
They had gone to Pulwama to work as tailors at a monthly salary of Rs 20,000.
