Today, on the occasion of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, the narrative of creating awareness about menstruation takes a different spin. But it stays true to the basic principle most women and activists are fighting for – to undo the taboo surrounding menstruation and normalise it for every woman alive.

First Period – a short film – is a step toward that end. The film focusses on a ‘man’s world’ where men get periods.
