'Game Of Thrones' Finale Takes Over Bellagio Fountains: PHOTOS

HBO is pulling out all of the stops for the upcoming final season of “Game Of Thrones.”

The premium cable channel projected familiar elements of the fantasy series over the famous Bellagio fountains, creating one epic water show at the Las Vegas casino-resort. Fire-breathing dragons, character silhouettes and pyrotechnics made up the 3½-minute spectacle that “left a crowd of onlookers cheering” at its debut last Sunday March 31, 2019, reported AP.

The giant wall of water not only serves as a surface for the glistening projections, but is also meant to symbolize the ice wall that defines the TV show. The company that made the water show worked closely with the series’ composer, Ramin Djawadi, to create a special score that, along with the dancing water, aim to capture the excitement and heart of the show.

“We have to make sure that the fountain gives the same kind of energy, the same kind of drama, that people are associating this music with,” said Peter Kopik, director of design and choreography for WET Design. The spectacle comes to a climatic finish as the shadow of the Night King appears one last time, and flames cover part of the roughly 9-acre lake.
