Alexa Bliss Not Medically Cleared for Money in the Bank

WWE announced on Thursday that former RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss will not compete in the Money in the Bank women’s ladder match this Sunday because she’s not medically cleared.
The announcement on WWE.com didn’t elaborate on the specifics of her condition and only stated “a suitable replacement for Alexa will be announced.” Bliss reportedly battled concussion-related injuries at the tail end of 2018.
She returned to the ring briefly for the Royal Rumble and a tag team match with Mickie James against Nia Jax and Tamina in January. Then, Bliss didn’t compete in the ring again until the first RAW after WrestleMania in Brooklyn when she defeated Bayley. A few weeks ago, she wrestled Naomi on RAW with the angle that her shoes came untied, causing her to lose. She was replaced in the Fatal 4-Way match announced for RAW this week by Nikki Cross.
