According to Portuguese paper Record, 26 year old central midfielder André Simões has agreed to join AS Monaco from AEK Athens.

However, the report states that there is no agreement between the two clubs with regards to a transfer fee at the moment. The problem is that AEK Athens see the player as a crucial part of their team.

The thing that swings in Monaco’s favour at the moment is that the player’s current contract expires at the end of next season in 2017. AEK Athens will either sell him in the next two windows therefore or get him to sign a contract extension.
