Another NXT Release, Impact Star Return, Prichard on WMX Incident

Although there have been a ton of signees making their NXT debuts this week, some releases have been reported recently as well. It was reported yesterday that Stacey Ervin Jr. requested his release from the company, but it was also noted that the company is giving him time to reconsider his decision. Meanwhile, Squared Circle Sirens has since informed viewers that Ricardo Miller has also just asked to be let go. Miller was signed by WWE earlier this year. He played football in Michigan prior to signing a contract with WWE. There is no word on why he asked to be let go from the company, nor has it been confirmed that his request has been granted. Stay tuned for additional updates on the statuses of these two NXT stars.

So apparently Ricardo Miller has requested his release from NXT. He started with Karen Q, Sam Shaw, and Rachael Evers.

It was confirmed a while back that Madison Rayne would be returning to Impact Wrestling. Rayne had been working for Ring of Honor but reportedly decided to head back to Impact following a few creative disagreements with ROH officials. Fortunately for Impact fans, Rayne made her return to the promotion during last night’s show. She appeared during the show and proceeded to challenge Tessa Blanchard. Rayne spent years working for Impact, so her return to the promotion received a very warm reception. Rayne is a five-time Knockouts Champion, so perhaps she’ll score her sixth title reign in the near future. For those interested in checking out Madison’s big return to Impact, check out the video below:

WrestleMania has always had a soft spot for celebrity cameos and WrestleMania X was no exception. Numerous stars appeared at the landmark event, including actor Burt Reynolds. During a new edition of the Something to Wrestle With podcast, Bruce Prichard discussed an encounter that he had with the late celebrity during the show. The issue came when Burt’s management told Prichard to keep him away from Ronda Shear, whom he had been scheduled to walk to the ring with. The decision was made to have Reynolds walk Jenni Garth down to the ring, which angered the actor. He also apparently scolded Prichard backstage after he was instructed how to introduce “Rowdy” Roddy Piper to the ring that evening.
