Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich engaged in a put-down battle over her recent visit to the US-Mexico border.

“Profoundly vicious, cruel and dishonest,” Gingrich said of the freshman Dem from NYC in a Fox News op-ed. “When you despise American values … lying is perfectly natural.”

“Ah yes, now Newt & the GOP are resorting to calling me a liar,” AOC tweeted Friday.
