As we’ve pointed out time and time again, Ariel Winter does and dresses precisely as she pleases. The actress has made no bones about the fact that she will not let anyone body-shame her or her fellow celebs and will continue to fearlessly wear precisely the style of semi-sheer cutout ensembles that she loves regardless of what anybody else has to say about it. Case in point, the super glam look she chose to wear to a screening of the season 8 finale of Modern Family, even when the rest of the cast opted for much more casual ensembles. So, of course, when fans started writing rude comments about the look on social media, she was quick to let them know their mean words were falling on deaf ears. And Ariel proved just as much on Thursday, once again wearing whatever she wanted on a trip to Disneyland.

The sitcom star took a trip to the amusement park, spending the day with her boyfriend Levi Meaden and his family, enjoying all of the many attractions from the haunted mansion to Splash Mountain. For the occasion, Winter kept her look suitably low-key and fun in a simple gray linen romper with a low neckline which she paired with a silver pendant necklace, white high-top sneakers, and a very apropos pair of glittery gold Mickey Mouse ears with a little plastic tiara set in front.

Of course, this ensemble comes the morning before Ariel posted a lengthy note on her Instagram responding to a rash of stories and social media follower comments on that gold bejeweled dress she wore to the Modern Family finale. “Why TF does anyone care that I didn’t dress casual like everyone else for the panel? Why do I have to be like everyone else?” she wrote. “Why can’t people just let other people feel good about themselves and do what they want? WEAR WHATEVER YOU WANT PEOPLE! As long as you feel good about yourself that’s what matters. I know I did. Don’t ever let anyone stifle who you are and how your express yourself. Rant over :)” Internet trolls everywhere, take note.
