Backstage News on Why WWE Hasn't Announced Any Matches for This Month's TLC PPV

— With only ten days to go before WWE’s next PPV – TLC on 12/15 in Minneapolis, the company has officially announced zero matches. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reason for this is because Vince McMahon hasn’t made his final decisions yet as his philosophy now is that the PPVs are all about the WWE network and its sign-ups rather than people actually buying the PPV. The company’s research has also shown that network sign-ups the day before each of the shows is significant and as such, the belief is that there is little to gain by announcing matches early.

— For what it’s worth, several weeks ago, WWE sent the Target Center three matches that were tentatively booked for the PPV – Bobby Lashley vs. Rusev, Asuka & Kairi Sane vs. Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch in a TLC match for the women’s titles and Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin. As of this time, the Observer notes that all three matches are still scheduled for the event.
