It was noted and reported several times before that WWE appears firmly committed in crowning Roman Reigns as the new Universal Champion at SummerSlam. This is after he defeats Brock Lesnar, who is expected to begin preparing for his UFC return and another UFC fight early next year. This was supposed to happen at WrestleMania 34, but Vince McMahon aborted those plans at the last minute reportedly due to the fact that he didn’t want the show to end with the audience booing Reigns. It will be interesting to see what happens at SummerSlam as plans could changed at the last minute and it often does.
