Foot Mercato report tonight that Premier League club Burnely have submitted a €16m bid for Lyon wide man Maxwel Cornet, moving ahead of Hertha Berlin in the race to sign the Ivorian international.
With Les Gones expecting to part ways with the 24-year-old before the end of the summer window, with an initial €10m offer from the English club being turned down – Lyon have asked for at least €15m for the left-back, a price tag which appears to have been met with the latest bid.
Should Cornet leave for the Premier League, Lyon will seemingly target Paris Saint-Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa, with PSG looking to raise funds after a significant outlay this summer.
