With the imminent release of the live action remake of Beauty & the Beast, it seems the frenzy surrounding Disney Princesses and their related merchandise has reached a full blown fever pitch. Everywhere you look there are new products inspired by your childhood favorites, from bedazzled Juicy Couture tracksuits and Swarovski-covered clutches, to faux roses entombed in various glass domes.

It seems like anything these days can be princess-ified, which means it was only a matter of time before we started seeing swimwear inspired by the cartoon royalty you grew up loving (and singing along with). The bikinis aren’t official, but you will officially get a ton of compliments from fellow Disney-heads if you’re spotted wearing one of these under, or next to, the sea.

Tonight is the Met Gala: the biggest, most prestigious fashion event of the calendar year. It’s consistently the one red carpet where celebrities, designers, and industry folk alike all converge in their finest couture to push the black-tie envelope with their avant garde creations. And considering this year’s exhibit is a retrospective of the work of Comme des Garçons’ Rei Kawakubo, tonight’s ensembles are poised to be the most outlandish and over-the-top we’ve seen yet.

But ahead of the big night, two of the Gala’s hosts, Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady, chose to keep things laid-back, kicking off the evening in robes and diamonds, and grabbing dinner the night before in super low-key but still majorly chic matching fitted black suits.

While Kim Kardashian was once known for her super-exposed, skintight ensembles, it seems the reality star has turned over a new sartorial leaf. Well, for now, at least. Kim of yesteryear was all about latex, “sheer nipple vibes,” and nude selfies, and while she still hasn’t totally given up that look, after her harrowing experience in Paris, the mother of two has undergone a bit of a personal transformation, ditching her arsenal of form-fitting, body-baring looks and multi-million dollar collection of diamonds. In its place, she’s opted for baggier silhouettes, suddenly favoring giant sweats and puffer coats over leather leggings and mini dresses, and an overall moderately more modest wardrobe. An aesthetic which she perfectly put on display in an oversize blazer and lace pants.

There are certain trendy fashion tropes that have become synonymous with the ladies of the Kardashian-Jenner family. Sheer tops worn sans brassiere, for example, have become a staple for the first family of reality TV, as have various pieces of latex garb, waist-length hair, and a wide array of sweat-inducing lucite booties. But just when you think you have a pretty comprehensive understanding of all the ins and outs of these ladies’ mode of dress, the KarJenners go ahead and throw you a major style curveball. Like the out-of-left-field outfits Kendall, Kourtney, and Khloé all stepped out in on Thursday.
