Authorities are investigating whether “foul play” led to the disappearance of a Connecticut mom of five who’s involved in a bitter divorce, cops said on Wednesday.
A statement released by the New Cannan Police Department also said the search for Jennifer Dulos, 50, has been conducted around the clock since two friends reported her missing around 7 p.m. Friday.
“This investigation is being treated as a missing person case, but as with any missing person case, a criminal investigation is being conducted concurrently to determine if Jennifer was the victim foul play or intentional harm,” the statement said.
Both the Connecticut State Police and the feds are assisting with the probe.
Dulos last spoke with one of her friends after dropping her kids at school on Friday, and she missed several appointments during the day, cops said.
Dulos’ three boys and two girls range in age from 8 to 13 and include two sets of twins.
Dulos was believed to have been driving a black 2017 Chevy Suburban that was found on Lapham Road near Waveny Park shortly after cops checked her house and couldn’t find her there.
The park was searched Wednesday with trained dogs, as well as a Norwalk police drone and a New York State Police aircraft, cops said.
Dulos sued her husband, Fotis Dulos, 51, for divorce in June 2017 in an ongoing, hotly litigated case.
In a letter Tuesday, he asked a judge for custody of their kids.
