'Credible' Bomb Threat Ended Rascal Flatts Ruoff Concert: Sheriff

HAMILTON COUNTY, IN — Hamilton County Sheriff’s officials have revealed the reason behind a security issue that put an abrupt end to the Aug. 9 Rascal Flatts concert at Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center. According to police, detectives confirmed the security concern was a bomb threat they deemed a credible danger.

Venue, security and law enforcement personnel took appropriate, planned action for the safety of the band and concert guests once they were made aware of the threat, police said.

“Exact information on how the threat was made, reported, and other details concerning the incident will not be released as these points are integral to the current open investigation,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

According to the sheriff’s office, no arrests have been made.

Users commented on the most recent update on the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, thanking law enforcement and authorities, but also asking whether more security will be put in place for future shows.
