The Cruiserweight Classic concludes live on the WWE Network tonight at 9 p.m. ET with both the tournament semifinals and finals. Zack Sabre Jr. faces Gran Metalik in one semifinal, and TJP battles Kota Ibushi in the other. Also scheduled for the show, Johnny Gargano will team with Tommaso Ciampa against opponents that have yet to be announced.
In a video update about his progress after undergoing shoulder surgery, Finn Balor said he hopes to be back in time for WrestleMania.
As was announced on SmackDown last night, Jack Swagger is now a member of the show’s roster. Swagger is the first talent to change brands since the WWE Draft.

A student at Seth Rollins wrestling school died recently. The autopsy was inconclusive but no foul play is suspected. The student began feeling ill during practice and was told by instructors to sit out. His condition worsened and he was taken to the emergency room where he died shortly after.

Kelvin Gastelum replaces Robbie Lawler at UFC 205

ESPN’s Brett Okamoto reported that he’s confirmed with Dana White that Cowboy Cerrone will face Kelvin Gastelum on November 12th at Madison Square Garden. Cerrone appeared set to face Robbie Lawler at the show before Lawler had to pull out of the event.

Yankee stadium will be hosting a double header of a different sort come this November 4. The stadium will be hosting a Rutgers wrestling meet followed by a Rutgers football game. Let’s hope the weather plays nice or that could be one freezing wrestling meet.
