As noted, WWE recently announced Deonna Purrazzo as one of several new recruits, as well as one of the official entrants in this year’s Mae Young Classic tournament.

After the news went public, Purrazzo spoke with Brian Fritz of The Sporting News about being named as one of the latest participants in this year’s all-woman’s tournament.

“Even though I was an alternate, I got to see these 32 incredible women change women’s wrestling,” Purrazzo said. “Regardless of me being in it or not, to see that first hand and that energy at Full Sail last year was amazing. It makes me even more excited for this year.”
