Speaking in an extensive, exclusive interview with L’Équipe, France boss Didier Deschamps talked about Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud’s recent poor run of form.

Deschamps had the following to say:

“He had a difficult period in autumn and then started scoring again. I do not focus on one month or two but on what he is capable of doing. He was important before and during the World Cup. He has one of the players who I select regularly.”
