Drew Gulak appears to be back in WWE following the expiration of his contract earlier this month.
Fightful Select reported this evening that Gulak will be working a battle royal that is scheduled to take place on this week’s SmackDown. Fightful said it wasn’t confirmed if Gulak had re-signed with WWE or not. However, PWInsider has reported that is the case.
Gulak’s bio on WWE.com, which was moved to the alumni page, has since been moved back to SmackDown.
It was confirmed on May 16 that Gulak was no longer under WWE contract as the two sides had come to an impasse during renegotiations. Although WWE never confirmed the release, Gulak’s profile was moved to the alumni section of the WWE website.
Gulak last appeared on WWE television back on May 15, when he lost to Daniel Bryan in the opening round of the Intercontinental title tournament. Gulak and Bryan had been teaming with one another prior to Gulak’s contract expiring.
