Elegance Anywhere — and at Any Price! See the Cover of Candace Cameron Bure’s Staying Stylish

She’s been walking red carpets since before she was a teenager — so it’s no surprise that over the years, Candace Cameron Bure has learned a thing or two about personal style.

And now, she’s spilling all. The Fuller House star and author, who has penned three books in the past, has a new title coming out this November: Staying Stylish: Cultivating a Confident Look, Style, and Attitude — and PEOPLE has an exclusive First Look at the cover.

“It’s the tips and the tricks that I believe have worked best for me, especially in my 30s and now in my 40s that women can look to,” Bure tells PEOPLE of her new book. “If they’re just wanting some new ideas — or maybe to step out of their comfort zone.”

In the book, Bure chats not only fashion, but also beauty, including hair and makeup, as well as fitness and wellness.

Bure, 41, says that her own style inspiration is a fusion of her laid-back Southern California roots coupled with the influences that came from growing up in the entertainment industry. Over the years, inquiries about her outfits (even the looks on Full House, which she admits can be “laughable” now) became commonplace, one of the driving forces behind the creation Staying Stylish.

“It was one thing that just became very natural to talk about, how to cultivate a stylish look from wherever you live, and whatever your budget is,” she says. “

Today, she’s all about the California cool look for everyday.

“I lead a busy lifestyle, but one that can be very casual at times,” she says. “My day could be anywhere from workout clothes to travel clothes, if I’m on a plane or if I’m in mom mode on the weekends, taking my boys to the hockey rink. But I’m definitely a Southern California, jeans and T-shirt are probably my go-tos.”

Fuller House fans may already be familiar with Bure’s style, however: She says that her character D.J.’s clothes are inspired by her own fashion choices.

“We have a great costume designer on Fuller House, she’s always loved my style as a mom and a professional woman,” she says. “A lot of D.J.’s clothes are inspired by my personal closet, but I feel like D.J., she’s always put together.”

Bure isn’t the only author in the family — her daughter, Natasha Bure, published Let’s Be Real: Living Life as an Open and Honest You this March.

While her daughter was writing the book, Bure says she tried to give her space to be creative and honest — though she did help out with the editing process.

And along the way, she even learned a few new things about her daughter … including her first kiss!

“I had a few surprises reading her book,” she says. “Even like, her very first kiss. I had known about one of them, which I thought was the first kiss, but her actual real first kiss. Those things were really fun to read.”

Staying Stylish: Cultivating a Confident Look, Style, and Attitude is out Nov. 7, 2017 and available for pre-order on Amazon now.
