Greek women’s League: AEK won the derby, Panathinaikos has hope

AEK was the great winner of the derby against Olympiacos, in a game much disputed by the referees’ decisions. Passion and tension marked the derby of the two leading teams of A1 Women’s League, and AEK left the court of Olympiacos with 3 points (1-3), that made the team of AEK the undisputed favourite of the league.

Olympiacos now is not alone in the second place as Iraklis Kifisias won Iraklis Thessalonikis 2-3, and now Olympiacos and Iraklis Kifisias have to work hard to take the second place.

Panathinaikos took a valuable winning over SAAK Anatolia from Thessaloniki by winning 3-1 in a flaming hall that will help them stay in A1 league. Anatolia made a good start by winning the first set but Panathinaikos’ girls with the help of their great fans took a deep breath and with courage and decisiveness took the next 3.
