L’Équipe report this morning that Hellas Verona have submitted an offer for Angers midfielder Nabil Bentaleb, with Beşiktaş also making a move for the Algerian.
The former Tottenham Hotspur man could be set to move on from the Anjou outfit a year after his arrival, with the Veneto club having put forward a loan bid with a permanent option set at €2.5m.
The 28-year-old has made 16 appearances this season for Ligue 1’s bottom boys, who recently fell to a record-equalling 12th straight defeat to Brest, and has scored twice and registered two assists so far. Overall, he has featured 36 times for Le SCO, having quickly become one of the team’s regulars on arriving.
The midfielder had previously spent five years at Schalke, punctuated by a loan spell at Newcastle in 2020, where he made just over a century of appearances, having previously been a regular with the North London outfit, where he had finished his youth development.
