From the amount of rumors going around, it doesn’t sound like anyone but WWE executives knows for sure whether the Nov. 2 Crown Jewel show will be going down in Saudi Arabia or somewhere else. 
Despite not being in any of the promotional work leading up to the show, Hulk Hogan hinted in a recent interview that he is very much a part of the WWE delegation possibly still headed to the desert and further down the road at WrestleMania. As if the controversy of whether WWE should have the show in Saudi Arabia wasn’t enough despite the questionable circumstances surrounding the Saudi government’s alleged involvement in the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, having Hogan show up as well would likely add some gas to the fire. 
That’s right. Months after he was reinstated to the company’s Hall of Fame following his being fired because recordings of him making racist statements were released to the public, and with WWE helping to promote his nWo reunion with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall later this month, Hulk Hogan says he’s got more WWE appearances lined up. Including one in the KSA.

Here’s what Hogan told the Orlando Sentinel: 
“There are a lot of plans in the works. I’m looking forward to going to Saudi Arabia with the WWE, looking forward to WrestleMania — but yeah, we’re moving forward at a rapid pace. It’s exciting to have this opportunity again after all these years where I was there and gone.”
Here’s how he responded when he asked about his role at Crown Jewel:
“This is a total ego trip, but this is what I would love: To be the hood ornament of the WWE, to be the Babe Ruth of the WWE, and to always be around when any of the big stuff is going on…

I sure would love to be a part of the WrestleManias and the big events and the grand openings and the new conquests of the WWE. Saudi Arabia! Hong Kong! China! Antarctica! The North Pole! Whatever it is, I’d like to be part of the ongoing growth of the wrestling business, and be with WWE the whole time, that’s the only place to be.”
If this event takes place in Riyadh as originally announced, it’s hard to imagine how it could be any more divisive. Using it to reintroduce a figure some members of the roster aren’t ready to welcome back might do it, though. (h/t Cageside Seats for quote transcription)
