ISRO’s PSLV-C54 Lifts Off With DRDO’s EMISAT & 28 Other Satellites; To Conduct Space Experiments

India’s latest observation satellite EMISAT, for the Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO), along with 28 other customer satellites, took off smoothly today aboard the PSLV-C45 (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.

ISRO will place payloads in three orbits and conduct space experiments for the first time.

“There is increased demand for satellites from strategic sectors. About six/seven satellites are planned to be built,” a senior official told IANS on the condition of anonymity.
