John Cena and Bray Wyatt Rumored to Face Off at Survivor Series

John Cena just recently suffered a devastating loss at the hands of Roman Reigns at the No Mercy pay-per-view a few weeks ago. He later revealed that he would be going away for a while, and is even considering slowing down the pace of his wrestling career. The belief is that John Cena has a large number of filming commitments that he has made and will be fulfilling in the upcoming months. Despite that, Cena is currently rumored to be wrestling at November’s Survivor Series event in November. New reports have revealed that Cena will not only be appearing at the pay-per-view, but we may also have knowledge on Cena’s opponent for the event as well.
Cena has already competed against the likes of Braun Strowman, Baron Corbin, Roman Reigns, and Shinsuke Nakamura this year, so who else could Cena possibly be facing at Survivor Series? According to Cageside Seats, the plan is for John Cena to feud with Bray Wyatt on television soon before wrestling in a match in November. Bray Wyatt is currently in a feud with Finn Balor, and it has been rumored for a while now that the feud between them is expected to conclude very soon with Balor moving on to feud with Brock Lesnar, and Wyatt challenging John Cena. Expect the buildup for the match to take place shortly after Raw’s TLC pay-per-view.
This would not be the first time that John Cena and Bray Wyatt have squared off before. The two faced off against each other numerous times in 2014, including at Wrestlemania 30 when Cena managed to defeat Bray Wyatt. After Wyatt’s WWE Championship win at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view this year, it was reported that Cena had apparently requested that Wyatt be the one to pin him during that match. It appears as if Cena is very high on Bray Wyatt, so a match between the two former world champions may not seem too farfetched. Survivor Series takes place in Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center on November 19th, 2017.
