K-pop band EXO welcomes Trump family with signed albums

President Trump and Ivanka Trump got a surprise welcome party at South Korea’s Blue House: members of superstar K-pop boy band EXO.

An excited Ivanka gushed about the group’s “phenomenal” performance at the closing ceremonies of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, which she attended, and cooed over copies of their latest CD, “Love Shot,” presented to her and her father.

“Oh, and it’s signed!” she exclaimed at the Saturday rendezvous.

“Really great job, fellas,” the president said.

The Korean-Chinese boy band, featuring a shifting roster of nine singers, is one of the genre’s top-selling acts and boasts a huge global fan base.

Trump is in Seoul for meetings with South Korean President Moon Jae-in – and a possible trip to the demilitarized zone that separates the two Koreas, his first as president.
