Between starring in The Vampire Diaries and All Eyez on Me and releasing her latest album, Love Music Funk Magic, Kat Graham has had a busy year, with no plans on slowing down in 2018.
“I have a couple movies coming out, which are really cool,” she tells PEOPLE. “Then I’m doing this really cool new animation for Ninja Turtles where I’m playing April O’Neil, which will be really, really fun. And I’m starting a new record.”
With so much going on, Graham, 28, doesn’t want to worry about heading to crowded malls to take care of her holiday shopping.
“Sometimes when you’re dealing with a million people in stores, with people pushing you out of the way and rushing to get to where they need to get to, that affects your clarity,” ,” the Geneva-born star says. “And sometimes you just wind up getting something so you know they’re taken care of. But it’s not a good way to shop.”
So Graham partnered with eBay’s Holiday Airstream to ensure she could conveniently buy presents for all of her friends and family members. The Airstream, which will travel around the U.S. throughout the holiday season, employs artificial intelligence technology to help shoppers find curated gifts for everyone on their list.
“They had everything in this Airstream, from cool Star Wars toys to fashion stuff like the new Rihanna Fenty Pumas, to makeup to sunglasses,” recalls Graham, who visited the Airstream during it’s Nov. 24 stop in New York City. “If you just go on eBay, what you’re looking for is like right there.”
Graham, a regular online shopper, says she was surprised by how much she was able to find on the site, typically thought of as a destination to bid on rare items.
“People have this almost preconceived notion that eBay is where you go to kind of find more kitschy, hard to find memorabilia, which is not not true,” she continues. “You can find anything you dream of, but it’s also a really amazing place where you can find new, never-before-used things, especially electronics.”

Her favorite eBay purchase so far? A planner. “I’m a Virgo, so I organize,” the “Keeping It Funk” singer explains. “I’m a total nerd when it comes to organizers and I’ve been looking for this organizer for what felt like forever. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, why didn’t I check eBay?’ And then I winded up finding the coolest organizer that I’ve been looking for everywhere. It just kind of shows you how amazing the site is and how much it’s grown.”
Once all of the presents have been delivered, Graham will head home to Georgia for some much-deserved time off.
“I don’t know what I’m doing for New Year’s, but I’m definitely home for Chanukah and Christmas,” she says. “I’m just trying to catch up on sleep, hang out with my family, my friends and my dog.”
