Eddie Edwards won the TNA title tonight at the Impact tapings in Orlando, FL, for the show that will be airing on Thursday night.

The storyline for the show was that every title would be defended.

Lashley was told he could pick his opponent, with his choices either being a rematch with Ethan Carter III, a match with Edwards or Moose. Lashley picked Edwards and said it was because it would be the easiest match.

We don’t have details past that there was a big post-match celebration for the Edwards win.

The other title matches saw DJZ defeat Marshe Rockett to keep the X title, Aron Rex beat Jessie Godderz to keep the Grand Championship and Gail Kim beat Maria Kanellis in a Bound for Glory rematch to retain the Knockouts title.

Also on the tapings, it was announced that Cody Rhodes would receive a title shot. Edwards vs. Cody will be taped tomorrow night for the title.
