Michaël Cuisance wants to join Marseille permanently

Speaking in a press conference on Thursday, French midfielder Michaël Cuisance discussed his desire to make his current loan spell with Marseille permanent from Bayern Munich.

On Jorge Sampaoli:

He is a coach who knows how to talk to his players, his words motivated me, it has allowed me to enter matches with a different mindset, a different mentality compared to previous matches. With his staff, they bring a lot of energy. Everything has been set back to zero. In training, there is a lot of tactics, a lot of pressing, a lot of running, play without the ball. We touch the ball little, suddenly, in a match, everything that is tactical, we manage as well as possible, and when we have the ball, we have even more fun. His arrival triggered something, but it’s not just that. With everything we’ve seen and heard, before all that, with the supporters for example … With COVID, they couldn’t come to the stadium, they were frustrated, there was a lot of pressure around the club. Now there is stability, we are working in good conditions. Football is once again at the heart of the club’s project.

On his future:

(Bayern Munich) are following, they are in contact with my agent. For me, they leave me alone a little, my desire is to focus at Marseille, not to think about Bayern yet, there are still a dozen matches to play and a place in Europe to get. My focus is Marseille. I have not had any conversations about the future. I am doing the maximum to get back to my level… I want to prove that I can stay here. I am with a coach who I like, who likes to attack. My wish is to stay at OM. I am very demanding of myself. This period affected me a lot. I had to deal with some situations off the pitch, I wasn’t completely focused on football.
