Netflix Is Making a Magic: The Gathering Animated Series
For anyone wondering what Joe and Anthony Russo are going to be doing now that Avengers: Endgame is out in the world, we have an answer: They're making a Magic: The Gathering animated series for Netflix. The show will focus on the game's magic-wielding Planeswalkers and be produced by the brothers along with Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro's Allspark Animation. "We have been huge fans and players of Magic: The Gathering for as long as it has been around, so being able to help bring these stories to life through animation is a true passion project for us," the Russos said in a statement. No word yet on when the series will hit the streaming service. Stay tuned.

Studios Are Fighting—With Money—for J. J. Abrams
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hasn't even hit theaters yet, but director J. J. Abrams is reportedly already looking ahead to the next thing. Per Variety, outfits ranging from Disney to Apple are vying to strike a deal to be the next to partner with his production company Bad Robot. Even though Abrams doesn't appear to have made a decision, WarnerMedia is reportedly leading the pack to strike a deal that could be valued at around half a billion dollars. Yes, billion.
Maybe Robert Downey Jr. Actually Is Tony Stark
Roberty Downey Jr. has spent the last decade playing genius philanthropist Tony Stark, and now it looks like he might want to be that character IRL, minus the Iron Man suit. During the keynote at Amazon's Re:Mars conference on Tuesday, the actor announced the launch of the Footprint Coalition, an organization aimed at using advanced tech to improve the environment. "Between robotics and nanotechnology, we could clean up the planet significantly, if not totally, in 10 years," Downey Jr. claimed. Footprint Coalition is set to launch in spring 2020.
