Another episode of NXT is in the books and the brand once again delivered a top night of action. First up on the program was a Fatal 4-Way match between Mia Yim, Lacey Evans, Io Shirai and Bianca Belair.
An NXT Women’s Championship match was up for grabs in this one and all four competitors brought their best to the match. The bout started off hot, with all four women trading the advantage back and forth. The crowd was oddly silent during sizable portions of the match, though they did amp back up as the contest continued.
In the end, it was Belair that stood tall. Now the emerging women’s division star will get a shot at Shayna Baszler’s NXT Women’s title at Takeover: Phoenix.

Up next was Mitch Taverna versus The Forgotten Sons’ Jaxson Ryker. This was essentially a squash for Ryker, whose stable is quickly becoming one of the most dominant forces in NXT.
Winner: Jaxson Ryker
A vignette featuring The Velveteen Dream appeared next, highlighting his NXT career to this point. The Dream mentioned Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, John Cena and Triple H, though it’s unclear what all of this means. The Dream may or may not be at odds with WWE right now, but it’s clear that the company is still very much committed to his future. Is he heading to the main roster soon?
Johnny Gargano’s shocking reunion with Tommaso Ciampa from last week is replayed, followed by a promo from the champ. Ciampa said he felt like a broken record but last week was his vindication. He believes that someone is listening to him now. That someone is Johnny Gargano. Johnny’s win over Aleister Black is apparently proof of that.

Ciampa thinks that Johnny should get a chance at a title. But not his title. Maybe Ricochet’s North American Championship would be a possibility for Johnny Wrestling? Ciampa believes so.
The Undisputed Era defended the NXT Tag Team Championships in the next bout against Heavy Machinery. Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong faced perhaps the toughest test of their title reign thus far as Heavy Machinery held full control of the match early on.
But The Undisputed Era took over and dictated the pace of the match for the next several minutes. Tucker Knight took the heat for the majority of the time until he finally tagged out to Otis Dozovic. Otis held his own but quickly tagged back out and the duo hit the “Hoss Toss.”

Knight went to the top rope and missed a dive, then tagged Otis back into the match. Dozovic then went to the top himself but was stopped by Strong, who worked with O’Reilly to send Dozovic crashing to the mat. The Undisputed Era’s advantage continued from that moment on, as the champions retained the titles.
Winners and still NXT Tag Team champions: Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong
