Our colleagues at Foot Mercato report that Ligue 1 side OGC Nice have agreed a deal to sign 17-year-old Belgian right-back Junior Diomandé from KAS Eupen.

The teen was attracting interest from Real Madrid and Liverpool, and despite considerable pressing from Lyon via a last minute phone call from Jean-François Vulliez, their youth director, the player has been convinced to move to Les Aiglons.

The youngster will integrate into Nice’s reserves set-up in the first instance, but on a project that will see him receive 1st team minutes very quickly on this new adventure.
