After the Mets beat the Yankees on Tuesday night to salvage a Subway Series split, the rookie phenom was faced with ESPN inquiries over standard baseball musings and… aliens.

“We can all agree that aliens are real, you played (one season) for the Las Vegas 51s (Triple-A), now known as the Aviators,” said ESPN’s Kenny Mayne, “Did you ever see anything weird out there in Las Vegas?”

Many would struggle with such a retort. Not Alonso.

“You just kind of get used to it,” said Alonso, the “it” unclear.

“Driving down there you see something weird everyday,” he added. “Eventually, you just kind of put the blockers on and kind of get used to it after a while.”
