Peter Bosz to speak to Alexandre Lacazette about post-match comments

During a post-match press conference, Lyon manager Peter Bosz said that he will speak to Alexandre Lacazette (31) about comments that the French striker made about his substitutions and his future.

Questioned about Lacazette’s criticism of the decision to substitute Moussa Dembélé (26) and his apparent ambivalence about his manager’s future, he replied, “I will speak to him about that, not to you {a journalist). In response to your question: is there a fracture (between me and Lacazette)? – no.”

The former Arsenal striker also seemed to question whether all of the squad understood Bosz’s instructions during his post-match interview with Prime Video.

Asked about his future, which looks increasingly unstable he replied, “You are asking that question to the right person. I don’t decide that. Ask the person who makes the decision.”

It has been reported that Bosz must reach a certain points target before the World Cup if he is to keep his job. Lyon are winless in their last five matches in Ligue 1 and have only taken one point during that time, making that all-important points objective increasingly difficult to achieve.
